ChangeDetail
Counter BlitzActivation allowed until recovery of the counter-hit move ends; startup 10F → 4F; Guard Crush duration up; on-block frame −10F → 0F; first-hit knockback on block increased
Deflect ShieldDirectional inputs removed — activate with D+P or D+K only
Multi-hit invincible movesFirst-hit blowback tuned so follow-ups connect more reliably on normal hit

Counter Blitz

Previously the activation window after a counter hit was short enough that you often had to anticipate the counter hit to spend Burst. Arc now lets you activate Counter Blitz until the recovery of the move that caused the counter hit ends. That makes it easier to confirm the counter hit visually before spending, and it opens follow-ups after landing-recovery moves such as Zato-1’s →+HS or Leo’s Jumping D.

Because the longer window also means more blocked Counter Blitzes, Arc improved the blocked case: faster startup (10F → 4F), more Guard Crush duration, on-block frames −10F → 0F, and more first-hit knockback on block.

Deflect Shield

Directional inputs are gone. Activate with P+D or K+D only. Arc’s stated goals: easier input, and a cleaner defensive option against attacks that force forward/back guard switches.

Ranked / network

  • Win streak bonus now applies in Platinum and Diamond (same values as Iron–Gold).
  • Matchmaking: less likely to rematch the same opponent; rematch restriction 25s → 60s (clears on return to Main Menu).
  • Faster server connect on Ranked / similar searches.

Why it matters

Ver. 2.03 is a systems readability patch first (Counter Blitz reaction window, Deflect Shield input), then a targeted cast pass on characters Arc says overshot or under-expressed after 2.00 — not a blanket aura sheet. Published frames and hitbox notes are reported; this is not a new god-tier call.

What to watch next

Whether Arc publishes follow-up monitoring notes on characters left untouched this pass, how Platinum/Diamond win-streak changes affect ladder climb rates, and any post-Duel-3 battle tweaks once the new Pass window settles.
